MONONA TERRACE

This beautiful landmark on Lake Monona, Wisconsin, is the realization of an unbuilt Frank Lloyd Wright design first offered in 1938. It was an architectural work in the studio thru 1959. While President and Principal Architect of Taliesin, Ryc lead the effort to gain public and political support to adapt the design and construct FLLW’s most significant unbuilt civil and cultural project.  After 4 ½ years of design and construction efforts this celebrated and published project was dedicated on a beautiful afternoon and attended by thousands of people on the shores of Lake Monona.
